Something that might warm your heart…
For most of my childhood, I remember my sister playing school. She would sit in her room with all of her stuffed animals. She’d drag the dining room chairs into her room and line them up like desks. She would ask for white boards and markers and school supplies for Christmas. She had the best imagination of anyone I know and I never quite got to her “level”. It’s one of my fondest memories of her as a child.
Now, my sister is a new Kindergarten teacher. My family and I could not be more proud of her and have been ecstatic since she got the job.
The following card was given to her today:
Ms. M
Thank you for putting your heart into your teaching! I’m amazed by with what Alisha is learning in your class so far. I love how excited she is about school. She plays every night after school that she is Ms. M and her younger sister and I are the students. Thanks to your way of teaching she is teaching me so much about teaching in life.
Thank you
I’m so happy for her and can’t get over the fact that kids are finally “playing” her. Thank you to all the educators out there, you don’t know how much you influence the lives of kids every day.
