My “Mental Break” Weekend:
I randomly got invited to spend the weekend at a cabin in the middle of the woods, approximately 30 miles from any real civilization. These are the same woods where wolves, cougars, and moose frequent. I knew I could probably use a break from the internet for a bit so decided to do it. There was no electricity and no running water. The cabin was heated by two wood stoves, we went to the bathroom in the outhouse, we bathed in the sauna. I woke up in the morning and made coffee in a percolator! There was 9 of us total, packed into that little cabin which had 6 bunk beds. We skied three times a day and broke our own trails, played beer pong by candlelight and board games when we were bored. I had my queue running all weekend so lots of people didn’t notice I was actually gone, but I was and it was nice. I got pulled over by the cops on my drive home for driving too fast (woops) I told the copman all I could think about was a flushing toilet and he laughed and let me go. HAHA. Anyways.
